23andMe

FOR THE CURIOUS DAD

If your father is curious by nature, give him the gift of learning more about his history! 23andMe will finally prove once and for all that he’s not related to Tom Brady, even though his throw is “basically the same.”

Swell bottle

FOR THE DAD WHO LOVES TO STAY HYDRATED

Does your dad always forget to drink water during the day? Keep him hydrated this summer with a Swell bottle. Step it up a notch with this Wood Collection made of natural fibers that are found in the world’s most picturesque forests.

Patagonia

FOR THE CHILL DAD

Cult-favorite lifestyle and environmentally-friendly brand, Patagonia has Father’s Day written all over it. A simple Patagonia t-shirt will do the trick for any last-minute gift. Lifehack: Don’t know his size? A gift card always fits.

Stance Socks

FOR THE TRENDY DAD

Because we all know how hard it is to find those matching socks out of the dryer. Step up your dad’s fashion game with Stance Socks. Plus, now he’ll make a point to keep the pair together (hint, hint).

If none of these work for your budget, you know dad always loves a thoughtful card. All that matters is that you tell him, “hey, thanks for being the best guy ever” and spend the day celebrating him!

Not Too Cheesy: Vegan "Cheese" Recipes That Taste Like The Real Thing

Recipes
Food
Nutrition

We all love cheese. And if you don’t love cheese, well, you just haven’t found the right kind for you. If you’re unlucky like me, however, cheese does not like you. Thankfully, we live in 2020, where plant-based cheese recipes are alive and well.

I have been dairy-free for a few years, and cheese is truly the food group I miss the most. As much as we try, we sometimes just can’t get vegan cheese to taste like the real thing. So, I recruited my dairy-loving, cow-consuming friends to be my taste-testers. Their brutal honesty helped me create some “fake” cheese that can actually compete with the real stuff.

Goat "Cheese" Ball

Did you know you can make mouth-watering “fake” cheese with macadamia nuts? Yes, macadamia nuts. If you’re craving that creamy consistency but your stomach isn’t down for dairy, try out this recipe inspired by Simple Vegan Blog

Nacho "Cheese" Sauce

I know what you’re thinking: is this real? Is it too good to be true? No nuts, no fat, and it tastes good? You’re in for a treat. No one can tell the difference between this recipe and their favorite gooey cheese sauce. This recipe makes a lot of sauce, so be ready to share and shock your dairy-loving friends.
