The Best Workouts For You & Your S/O

Fitness
Cycling
Bootcamp
Pilates
Yoga

Studies show that when you have a partner, you’re more likely to step up your exercise game. So, why not bring your supportive S/O along to your next sweat session?

Here’s a few of our favorite workouts you can do with your hunny—then feel free to curl up on the couch and watch Netflix.

Bootcamp

Bootcamp is the perfect compromise for couples that want to get in a good sweat without traveling too far out of their comfort zone. Combining interval training, weights, and different circuits, it’s very similar to what you would traditionally see at the gym. Plus, it’s a killer workout that will have you both feeling stronger!

Pilates

While Pilates is not usually the exercise of choice for most men, you’ll find that the toughest guys take it all the time. With an emphasis on smaller moves and slower motions, it utilizes muscles traditional running or weight lifting won’t hit. It’s not all pie and lattes ladies and gents, Pilates is hard work.

Kickboxing

Kickboxing is our favorite heart-pumping cardio workout. This high-energy workout is guaranteed to burn calories. It tones the entire body while also helping to get out any stress or frustrations. Bonus: Most exercises are partner-based, so that means you can show your S/O how you “float like butterfly and sting like a bee.”

Yoga

Couples who Savasana together, stay together! It may seem like an obvious choice, but doing yoga as a couple can strengthen not only your body, but also your bond. It helps increase communication and trust as well as reduces anxiety and any stressors in the relationship.

Cycling

Riding a bike is a healthy and low-impact exercise for any age. Cycling is a great class for people who are just starting out in boutique fitness since it’s easy to pick up on (you know.. like riding a bike!) It makes for the perfect activity for couples who want to try fitness together —no matter the weather, skill level, or attire requirements!

Want to try one of these workouts with your Valentine? MINDBODY.io makes it easy to find, book and drop in at fitness classes, no matter where you are or what you want to achieve.

Not Too Cheesy: Vegan "Cheese" Recipes That Taste Like The Real Thing

Recipes
Food
Nutrition

We all love cheese. And if you don’t love cheese, well, you just haven’t found the right kind for you. If you’re unlucky like me, however, cheese does not like you. Thankfully, we live in 2020, where plant-based cheese recipes are alive and well.

I have been dairy-free for a few years, and cheese is truly the food group I miss the most. As much as we try, we sometimes just can’t get vegan cheese to taste like the real thing. So, I recruited my dairy-loving, cow-consuming friends to be my taste-testers. Their brutal honesty helped me create some “fake” cheese that can actually compete with the real stuff.

Goat "Cheese" Ball

Did you know you can make mouth-watering “fake” cheese with macadamia nuts? Yes, macadamia nuts. If you’re craving that creamy consistency but your stomach isn’t down for dairy, try out this recipe inspired by Simple Vegan Blog

Nacho "Cheese" Sauce

I know what you’re thinking: is this real? Is it too good to be true? No nuts, no fat, and it tastes good? You’re in for a treat. No one can tell the difference between this recipe and their favorite gooey cheese sauce. This recipe makes a lot of sauce, so be ready to share and shock your dairy-loving friends.
